Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles (la mian) is perhaps the most technically secretive of all Chinese noodles. Learn about the history, craft, and science of Lanzhou la mian in my 2 hour class. My classes are intimate and can usually accommodate up to 20 people per session. Classes can be held at your preferred location.

You’ll

  • Learn how to make and knead your dough from scratch

  • Learn about the history of Lanzhou, its regional cuisine, and the science of la mian.

  • Practice how to pull and stretch dough

  • Learn how to pull 3 types of noodle sizes

  • Cook then enjoy your noodles with condiments (provided by your instructor)

  • Leave with a take-home noodle making kit
